Overview
The commissioned work of sculpture is suspended within a 16'x16' square light fixture in the Dayton Metro Library (Northwest Branch) in Dayton, Ohio. The work is inspired by two pieces of artwork from The Dayton Art Institute's permanent collection, a Relief Fragment from Persepolis and a Kuosi Society Costume. The work is a contemporary take on the traditional craft of textiles. The patterns and radial symmetry are inspired by textiles from the two cultures.
